People, places and things we love.
Remember when you were a wayward teen and fantasized about owning a vintage store with amazing staff, great products, and the perfect playlist? My friends Becky and Matt did just that, and every location is an obligatory stop when I’m in LA. They just re-launched their website with a specially curated selection that recaptures that vibe digitally.
Some people have work-wives, I had the fortune of a work-big-sister. Taryn is an exceptional artist and designer, and her work with crochet, textiles, natural dyes and indigo are so gorgeous. A selection of her work is available online, and she also teaches workshops, sharing her passion and expertise.
Illustrator and designer Amanda Goss is the such a rare talent, I can hardly believe she’s my friend. Her photo-real portraits are absolutely stunning, but my favorite aspect of her work is her styling, where she manages to capture the strength and ferocity of women, through the lens of cool girl composure. I am obsessed with her.
A lovely shop of vintage and handmade goods, helmed by superwoman Amanda Rose Halkias. Check out the hand painted denim and the blog with styling and cultural hot-tips. Really beautiful assortment with palpable heart.
